Klopp said last week no players comes into the football club that he doesn't want, which on the face of it makes sense as he has to manage/coach them. Identifying players comes from two sources him and his staff that see a player they tell 'upstairs' to get them- if they can (cost has to be right as well) or their scouts, DOF etc come up with a player have the discussion and if Klopp likes them then it happens. I'm guessing there is on-going conversations on the 'type' of player they are looking for with all involved.

Now onto Shambles City. We've got 1 week to sign another 4/5? players as 'that's the priority'.We get them then appoint a manager who has had no input in recruiting them! Or we stick with Pembo who has had no managerial experience. You couldn't make it up.

Anyone know how SL made a Billion quid?

As I understand it our recruitment process it actually quite similar to Liverpools. For a player to be signed several people all have to be in agreement, basically the manager, Burt, Ashton and the other board members (who ultimately are there to sign off the finances).

If no suitable manager is available now then why would we rush into making the wrong appointment? How is the situation you describe above any different from when a new manager comes in - of course they haven't had an input into signings made before they arrived?
