Our Budget/ Wages

For all the talk on these pages about our failure to sign players because of  their wage demands and our reluctance to pay I thought this quote from Forest manager Dougie Freedman was interesting:-

Quote

teams like Bristol City blow us out of the water, in terms of what they are paying

Says Dougie who already has 31 players in his squad compared to our 24.

On that basis we would have more of our wage budget available to spend as we have fewer players on our books.

Ah, but you're applying basic logic, maths and budgeting -principals probably beyond your average championship manager

And also making the assumption that managers always tell the truth...

Agent says 'But Bristol City will give him thirty grand a week, but I know my boy wants to come here, and for twenty five grand a week, I can make it happen... Don't believe me? Just Google how much the owner is worth'.

Forest manager takes it as fact.
