Red Skin Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 New manager, fresh broom, transfer talk, offloading high earning players that never really delivered and giving youth a chance. Attack, attack, atttack. If football is like a soap opera now's the time for us to write our own scripts for next season. Composing intricate storylines and subplots and auditioning for new stars. Optimism builds and hope rises. A few half decent pre-season friendlies in the late summer sun. Cider by the river before the game. And then....... the season starts and no body has bothered to read the script, lines and shots are fluffed and the supporting cast (that us!) fail to show. Will this season be any different?
