United's Academy is a shambles and they are conducting a cull of its staff. Rumours are than Nicky Butt is to assume control. United have been left behind in their development of youngsters and panic has set it. This guy has had the pick of the countries youngsters to coach for over 20 years and has been recently failing. Not for us thank you.
Pezo
There it is again, DNA. Do all these suits get together once a year to discuss the bullshit there going to harp on about to ensure "synergies". I feel there is a clic at the top of football that spans most clubs but has absolutely nothing to do with football.

Two kids under his watch - Danny Drinkwater and Danny Simpson - are currently regulars at the Premier League leaders. Is it his fault United failed to bring them through? And that's besides Pogba and the others mentioned in the article.

The DNA did need looking at, hence the "root and branch review".
EmersonsKev
I dread to think what salary he can demand and I guess it will be way out of the reach of the Academies budget.

The United Academy used to be able to recruit the best talent in the country, any average coach could work with them and look great. Manchester United doesn't automatically = quality. They have been "asleep at the wheel" with their Academy. Jobs for the boys is ending there.
pongo88
He's had 25 years at Man U, so won't be short of offers from other clubs. I can't see City being an attractive option for him
