Slippin cider
A few months ago after returning from holiday I was sent two BCFC shares certificates from a lady we met whilst we were away, she said they belonged to her late father and I could have them, which was kind of her. Now I was wondering a) the history behind them and b) would they be of any historical interest to anyone on here or to the club? ...one is dated 1972 and the other 1978. Any info would be appreciated .

Snufflelufagus
I think they mean you are actually the rightful owner of BCFC. Thats the good news the bad news is your in for a £40million bill for the stadium rebuild.

cidered abroad
If they pre-date 1982, I would guess that they are worthless as the club became Bristol City 1982 and I understand that previous issues became defunct. May be of interest for the new Club Museum.
