yea because Steve Cotteral managed to attract them this season,

We could have Pep in charge and the players still wouldn't come here because we will no long pay over the odds in wages when will people finally get it, the days of players getting a free ride at this club are gone

Sorry if you thought I was being serious! Warnock wouldn`t want Aguero anyway - he`s not dirty enough.

Goarn Young Lee, prove you have the contacts and bring Will Keane down here :)

Based on past experience with our transfers it's more likely to be Will Young, still it could be good for a sing song, the Dolman can sing " Leave Right Now" the Atyeo could sing "Jealousy" to the SS stand, the Away end could chant "Who am I" the SS can have a go at "Come On" and the board can all sing together "Evergreen or Brave Man"

According to AS we don't need one!!

"Although new head coach Lee Johnson is keen to add to his squad now that the transfer window for emergency loan signings has reopened and is understood to be looking at right wingers as well as strikers and central midfielders, Adomah's name does not feature on any list of potential recruits currently in circulation in BS3."

Story by Andy Stockhausen.

And I will blame the fact that the board have appointed an inexperienced head coach who is not able to attract top quality players. Just watch Aguero go to Rotherham now Warnock`s in charge and it will be SL`s fault.

You may laugh, however it's the kind of things that still happen in football these days

Both U-21. If you involve them you may aswell say we also have Lemmonheigh-Evans and Marley Bishop.

Marley Bishop has gone on loan for the rest of the season to be closer to his family I believe. Think he plans to return in pre season though. His father posts on this forum so happy to be corrected if this is untrue?

At some point this thread will actually become accurate (unless we never sign another striker), so I propose we keep bumping this thread like the old non league Gash thread so that when we actually sign a striker we can all be very smug about it.

Thoughts?

Hopefully the fantasy that some were holding that in an emergency loan window, we would actually be able to sign somebody who is currently scoring goals, has now ended and reality bites.

LJ has been very honest and clear:

1. He will set the team up so as goals come from every quarter not just one/two strikers.  He did this successfully in his very first game

2  Good strikers at this level not readily available in this window.  Back to SC's terrible summer failure.

3. LJ clearly rates Agard, who was unlucky not to score last week

4. As LJ has said we could recallBurns  before end of season

5. We finally don't know whether LJ feels there is a forward in u21s who could do a turn as a 20 mins sub OR another member of squad who could comfortably play striker role - eg Freeman

Back to SL's, the boards, SC's, KB's and Pellings summer failure to be more accurate, this shambles was indeed a team effort of epic proportions.

Freeman as a striker? To quote an old joke he could not hit a bull in the ass with a bag of rice!
