Markman
So - Big Brother has sold up and moved to a little place in Cornwall - he is coming up in 2 weeks or so for Bolton. NOW what is the correct exchange rate for a Cornish Pasty (I think Rowes) for a real Clark's Pie - he is suggesting 3 Pies for each Pasty - seems a bit high to me? EmersonsRed
2 1/2 pies.
reddevon
Where is he sailing from? It is illegal to traffic a Cornish Pasty through Devon. There is no exchange rate at the Devon border , Cornish variations of the real Pasty are simply confiscated and dumped in Wales!
Markman
reddevon - your pic would be a proper Devon pastie yes? Sad thing is you don't see them very often
reddevon
Yep - if he brings you one with the"zip" on top it will most probably be from Devon. If it's on the side it's an imposter! I made the mistake years ago asking in my local bakers for a Cornish Pasty and was firmly told ' we don't sell them'!
martin25
You can haggle, say 2 pies per pasty.
