It claims to "reveal" the best supported clubs, but anyone could find that out by looking at average attendances. Fullness of stadiums is a pretty pointless statistic because stadium capacities vary so much. The article appears to imply we are the best supported club on this basis, which is of course a nonsense and due solely to the fact we only have three stands. Guest Posted March 12, 2016 Report Share Posted March 12, 2016 Statistics is data analysis, presentation etc. In this case, the analyst has chosen to look at the 'fullness' as a measure and they've come up with accurate figures. It's just that it might be meaningless for us at the moment? What would be a better measure? Maybe the spread between minimum and maximum attendances? This might be a consistency figure. Season tickets? Percentage of those sold against what are allowed to be sold. Just what would be a measure of football support?
