...shirley it was a clever publicity stunt, wasn't it? All made up, like the "moon landings" (snort! chortle). That's what I reckon. Don't know why they didn't repeat it in 96, with Gazza "finding" the "missing" trophy in the sweaty, red raw folds of one of Jimmy's five bellies (I should work in advertising...)

Maybe Roy Hodgson will go "missing" before the Euros?

Pickles is a national hero. If it hadn't been for him the Queen would've had to hand Bobby Moore an IOU note instead of the Jules Rimet Trophy at the end of the 1966 WC Final.

Tragically, I believe Pickles died in 1967 in an accident aged just two or three....unless itwasn't an accident of course!
