Personally wouldn't go near the festival anymore. Performers in the past would turn in their graves at some of the tripe announced this year!

Far too commercialised from the great days of the past, did 4 festivals that will be it for me.

I can remember the days of strolling into Bristol Ticket shop at lunchtime of the sales day and purchasing a ticket without all the excitement of the recent years

Only been twice, and neither involved any level of planning with regards to getting hold of a ticket:  1986, when you just got a ticket from Revolver whenever you got your arse in gear and went and bought one, and then some time early 90s, when my wife was working on the door and I just casually strolled in.

Did consider going last year, but staying offsite away from gen pop:  the cost was prohibitive and we canned it.  Ended up going to Shiiine at Butlins which had the advantages of being cheaper, having a better line up (of mainly bands I wanted to see) and didn't involve crapping into an open trench (it was always there as an option, but I chose to use the en-suite instead.)

Gutted not to be going this year, truly gutted. Now I know how that Gashead who phoned 20pence felt.

i have been having a massive sulk since I didn't get a ticket.

Whenever I've not got a ticket the first time around I've always managed to get one in the resale. Usually in April I think.  There's hope yet!  (as long as it hasn't happened already but think it's usually in April)

People are always way too quick to criticise. Glasto is never about the headliners. Very decent lineup in general this year, well happy.

Felt a tinge of regret when I saw the line up but I cant afford it this year alongside everything else I want to do.

Like you say, it's rarely about the headliners, or even the main stage tbh and there's some great stuff down the bill this year. Park Stage, Other Stage, West Holts and John Peel stage, with a little bit of Dance stage is where it'll be at!

My only criticism of the line up is there is no "wow" band.... The likes of the Rolling Stones etc... someone who other people look at the line up and say "I wish I could of been there for that". There are some good acts on there but the ones I want to see I've already seen or wouldn't struggle to see them on their tours.

Plenty more to do though- one year I went to Glastonbury and saw 7 bands all weekend and had the time of my life!

Who would be your must see acts from the ones announced?

lots on there I am keen to see, but not much I would leg it across the width of the site to get to

Lumineers

Richard Hawley

Band of Horses

Laura Mvula

LCD Soundsystem
