One BCFC
Revenge is so sweet. How Wednesday fans were ripping into us first game after they claimed they fleeced us on the pitch and off it with prices. Took a hiding today. We were excellent today and we are safe let's be honest. Enjoy the rest of the season now 2 Quote Link to comment

Lanterne Rouge
Just reading their forum it seems Westwood was supposed to be in goal but they realised they`d named too many loan players in the squad so he had to make way for this lad Wildsmith who wasn`t even in the original squad. 1 Quote Link to comment

Feel our keeper's positioning for the free kick was quite poor and not for the first time. Left far to much of the goal to his left ungaurded and invited the player to place the ball into an area he was unable to reach. Highlights really show this error in positioning. No wonder LJ was not happy. Quote Link to comment
1960maaan
The free kick hit the post and rebounded off of RO, harsh to put any blame on him. Quote Link to comment

But had he been positioned a pace to his left he would have got a good hand to the ball and surely would still have been able to cover his right hand post if necessary. Quote Link to comment

ODonnell has been brilliant since coming in, all keepers make odd mistakes but he is different class to Frankie, and has been a big part of the revival including a vital, save early on today when it looked odds on to go one down, if you are watching the games live you can see him marshalling the back line excellently, back off. No, Westwood is a permanent signing. He fell ill in the warm up - looked like he was being sick. What was wierd was that they didn't put Lewis Price in goal though. No wonder LJ was not happy. He might have been a yard too far over to the right hand side. But I'll forgive him that when you consider he gives us far more than Frank Fielding does. The mistake at Wolves aside I and may others are no longer sh1tt1ng ourselves every time a cross gets delivered into our penalty area. And the save he made in the first five minutes which wasn't shown on the highlights was probably a match winner because had they gone 1-0 up then it could have been a long afternoon for us. Up The City! Oh how this is starting to remind me of the celebrations at Wycombe which surely secured their survival. Just for the record that Keith Brockman bloke or whatever his name is I can't stand at all!!! He always makes a big deal out of any tiny bit of success Rovers have. Juding by how he talks You would think it was them who were the Championship club beating teams like Wednesday, Forest, Fulham etc. But they're not, instead they are celebrating a 2-2 draw with Northampton in league two. No matter where they finish in League Two or One to be so far behind a team that plays in the same City is shameful and quite pathetic. Whatever they do in Leagues one or Two will never compare to our successes in the Championship. Even if we finished bottom of the Championship to just be in that league is more of a success then competing with the likes of Accrington for promotion. The last time they got to league one they got rid of Trollope who each your produced a consistent team that were steady eddies in League One and took them on a good run in the cup. But that wasn't good enough for them, they sacked him because they got too big for their boots, now they are singing from the roof tops about returning to a league that Trollope got sacked for for not being able to get them promoted out of it. Strange philosophy. 3 Quote Link to comment
OldlandReddies
think everyone was a bit hard on themselves saying we were poor on tuesday which was proved wrong today. the draw against rotherham was very, very good seeing as they have been the best in the league bar none over the last 7/8 games. people feared that we would get stuffed by wednesday but whilst they had won their last 4, it was against sides on a very poor run. we took them apart with ease tyoday and should have won by more. we have improved no end since johnson's arrival and he and the team deserve immense credit for the way they have performed under big pressure. we have much to look forward to next season provided we do the right sort of business close season. i for one cant wait for august to come around. bring it on ! 5 Quote Link to comment
