A lot of truths in that. None of those Villa players will care because all that will happen is their agents will engineer moves away in the summer, possibly back into the premier league again.

Just a job worth millions to them. They'll say they care and i'm sure they do........about their ££'s!!

And this is what football to footballers is all about these days. The attitude of the Villa players is just a true reflection of football in general.

Sad really isn`t it? How much more respect would these players get if they came out and said `Sorry, we have been crap this season but are determined to stay with the club and get back up at the first attempt. If that means we have to take a pay cut, so be it.`. Wouldn`t that be refreshing?

Never liked Lescott frankly; funny shaped head probably got something to do with his disgraceful attitude.

And he was never good enough for England.

Or maybe being run over as a five year old which nearly killed him!

Doesnt after the fact that he's a**** though.

completely agree with you there mate. Problem is it just gets worse each season. This will soon become the norm each year. These guys know they'll be elsewhere next season earning more money and will have long forgotten what they did collectively to that club, the fans and the staff.

It certainly would. It does however require a degree of humility and respect for those that pay their ridiculous wages.

There's a photo floating around of an apparent quote by him which is even worse - though I've not actually seen evidence of this quote so it probably is someone twisting what he said - but it's along the lines of the pressure being off now, the fans negativity has been a main cause for the relegation and that he'll stay be out spending his money later on a few beers

I think that was a complete mis-quote by one of those spoof sports sites.

Jolson Lescott is the epitome of why the general public dislike footballers. Mediocre talent who was lucky to be English because otherwise he'd never had made the levels he did. He was there more on nationality than merit and he shows total disregard to those who 'funded' his undeserved wealth. Perhaps a step too far, but if there's one footballer I'd like to hear has misplaced his wealth he'd be well up there.
