The Bard
I've had a leak and this is my squad: Hart, Forster, Heaton Clyne, Walker, Stones, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Bertrand Dier, Drinkwater, Henderson, Alli, Lallana, Milner, Barkley, Walcott Sturridge, Rooney, Vardy, Kane Then one of Jagielka or Sterling dependent on squad balance. I reckon the main beneficiary of Welbeck's injury will be Walcott. A forward who can play wide, though nowhere near as good defensively. I'd play Dier centre half with Smalling and use Drinkwater as the holding midfielder. Personally think Sterling is hugely overrated and the way forward is through high intensity football. This means no Cahill, Rooney, Sterling, Barkley or Sturridge to start as this is not their game. Bring the latter 4 on to change games. We need the likes of Clyne, Rose, Dier, Alli, Lallana, Milner, Kane and Vardy to be playing at the start - they understand how to play this style.
