According to Stocky ;

City have contacted Sunderland to inquire about Matthews' situation in the last 48 hours and head coach Lee Ashton and chief operating officer Mark Ashton are prepared to move quickly if they believe there is a chance of signing the defender on a permanent deal.

Welcome Lee Ashton .

It is entirely legal for same sex marriages although working together in a fast moving high pressure environment can lead to relationship stress. Hope SL has factored this in to his Premiership domination plans.

Separated at birth - what does Gary( and/or Mrs Johnson) make of this?

Is that why Lee has a beard - so they can be told apart?

Proof reading...do they ever?

Having said that, the news in the article is good, in that they seem to want to tie down deals quickly if they can.

I was hoping they'd have had some understanding in place at the time of the loan. The noises Matthews made seemed to indicate he was looking for a contract somewhere outside of Sunderland.

Anyway, now that they're staying up I would think that they'd like to move him on. Big Sam already did us a favour at West Ham when he signed Micky Naynard off us (mind you he was buying up every available striker at that time).

It always seemed to me that this was the only really likely deal with our ex-loanees, so here's hoping..

Matching DNA, no problem. It happens in the Army all thetime
