BS4 on Tour...
I liked Wheater when he was at Boro - not sure what he's like now though. Back then he was a good, solid, uncompromising centre half/right back. Has also represented England at five different levels which is interesting in a sort of uninteresting way! Dastardly and Muttley
Neil Danns was a good player, wish we'd been able to keep him after his loan spell. Don't think he'd be the right fit now though, pass on all of them.

formerly known as ivan
Don't think there is anyone we would be interested in signing on there. Hayden White is or at least was very highly rated and tipped as a future England full back. Thought they would keep him for league one to break him into first team football. Assume Spearing won't play for them again given that they would have to pay Liverpool if he makes another appearance.
MC RISK77
Liam feeney may be worth a punt...kaine Woolley is very highly rated but other than them the rest are crump
Taylor10
Personally I don't think there is anyone there we should be looking at. The likes of Wheater & Danns are deadwood now. I can't see there being many takers for a lot of contracted players on silly money either.

There was a sadistic flicker in my mind that it would be a good idea. If I hadn't watched football since 2001. I'd seriously go for Danns on pay-per-play though. Tongue firmly in cheek there I presume. I will be watching with interest if anybody picks him up; and if they do then I'll put in for a trial with them. LondonBristolian
Bluntly we beat them 6-0 and deservedly so. No logic to taking any of their players. Even if Feeney looks great on paper, he's never played for anything above a struggling championship side and I'm not convinced he's beyond that level... citywest30
That's a he'll of a lot of players released. Guess quite a few of them were just going through the motions waiting to leave the club. Made me appreciate what this club has done over the last 3 - 4 years in terms of getting rid of 'dead wood' players, not giving long contracts to players in their late 20s (El Abd withstanding) and having young hungry players who want to play football and have something to prove. As much as I don't like the phrase, I'm sure this is the 'DNA' that Ashton bangs on about and am confident him and LJ will keep this going in terms of incoming signings. Chappers
Can't see a big rush from Championship clubs for any of those. No wonder they were relegated and in the mire financially

Taz
After the way they played when we beat them 6-0, none of them looked interested, and I can't remember one player that you could say had an ok game. Some will get clubs on reputation and "name" alone.
Monkeh
don't want any of them, they are a disgrace to professional football, I've never seen a team give up like Bolton did at ashton gate, It was bad when we got relegated but they are worse
Guest
Looking at their retained list they really do have a big job this summer. Get it wrong and you have to say back to back relegation should be a genuine concern

Nibor
Hilarious that Spearing has another year. I wonder if Zack Clough will prove to be any good in the longer term, I suspect they will be down in league one for more than a season.

On the plus side, some belting home crowds for Bury, Rochdale and possibly Accrington when they visit. Important stuff for those sort of clubs.
