If Brexit becomes a reality then we will be making our own deal with the Yanks that will make TTIP look like a honeymoon. We will have to - the US will hold all the cards and we'll be desperate. And just to clarify ... you know I look at these issues through the lens of nationalism so I'm not just talking about who is going to slap 10% on our exports. There's a bigger picture and if we have to go through temporary hardship then so be it. Mate. Everyone is going to slap tariffs on. Seen how much the EU puts on agricultural produce? It's a lot more than10%. We could be left with a very different countryside.
BS2 Red
There's no way the US and EU will agree TTIP and then turn to the UK and say "aww we love you guys, here have some trade deals with no tariffs or strings attached". Why wouldn't they give us the choice between high tariffs or signing up for things like free movement or TTIP?
Major Isewater
We should either leave or commit fully to the EU. Our representatives in Europe have marginalised us at the negotiating table . They pick and chose just what they think will serve their interests and are not fighting to form a Europe which is fair to all members . They just moan about the negative instead of trying to change to influence and improve . A Brexit will have a miniscule effect on the other member states because we are not considered as wanting to actively build with them for a prosperous future for all . We are the disruptive kid at the back of the class .
