The Coach
Evening all Can anyone recommended any site to buy a new PC? Mine is currently on its last legs. I've looked at PC Specialist but I find myself getting carried away in adding extras then finding the total cost nearing £1k! I would also rather avoid PC World(PC Ripoff) if possible Thanks! Barrs Court Red
I've bought my last two from Mesh computers and have had no complaints. Worth bearing in mind that there is a new generation of Intel processors on the horizon, so could be worth holding on a little longer.
Nibor
A few questions to help with a recommendation. Are you looking to buy a complete system or the parts to put one together? Do you need peripherals like monitor/mouse/keyboard or are you happy with what you've got? Do you want to surf the net and write emails or are you looking for a PC that runs 3d games? I don't have the time to construct the machine myself. I/O devices are just as important as mine are worn out. A general PC all round would be ideal. But one suitable for work/business use but still contains a strong CPU & graphics card. As stated @Nibor I get a bit excited and carried away with PC Specialists. You might try novatech who have a store in Portishead, In particular this sort of thing: http://www.novatech.co.uk/modifier.html?s=PC-2100 You can pick and choose a bit to get to the sort of budget you want but they build it for you. Or you can go in and talk to someone. One thing to think about is windows - a new copy of home edition will set you back £80. Do you need it? Can you use an existing license or linux? I use scan.co.uk fairly frequently without any issues for parts and peripherals.

Though I do prefer Linux(Is far more a superior OS). I'll look around, thanks for your input.
cheshire_red
I've had a few great deals and good service from ebuyer.com
Gazred
Novatech are good if you want something ready to go, or a part built chassis you can add some bits to. If you want to go component level and build it that way, Ebuyer is also a good shout.
bristolmoose
You could also try some refurbished ones. I bought an HP XX Workstation base unit with two 4core processors and 16GB RAM for £180 last year. It is a 5 year old PC but is quicker on Windows 10 than a lot of new stuff coming through the door at work (an IT support company)

The Coach
Thanks guys. I'll take a look into Novatech. Are they stand alone desktop PC's or do they also included Monitor and other I/O devices?
