Everyone is playing a free, kind of fun game that actually encourages you to get out the house and walk around - quick, how can we make it sound bad!

Nothing has changed, everyone is still walking around with a phone jammed to their gaze.

I'm sure they would find real life and nature far more interesting if only they looked up once in a while. Quitting your job to do this is nuts, no matter what the job.

This game has to be one of the biggest outdoor social things we have seen, well probably ever. Millions of people are walking, meeting, chatting and trading - they are not people who would be going bird watching if this game did not exists.

We all do those things on a Saturday night, we call it socialising.

it's tragic that people are quitting their jobs to find out that they can explore the world around them and they will walk with their phone in their faces to get there.

I thought you were joking Tone . NZ is fantastic for activities , even drinking and partying .

You need a good guide book  !

Our society has become sick.

Unsavoury as it sounds, we need a plague to get rid of those people infected with 'moronism'.

You may disagree, but God agrees with me.

Yes.

Uncle TFR

Quite right.

Not to bore with the details but Outdoor & Adventurous activities are great there because the liability lies with the person participating not the company offering the activity were anything to go wrong so insurance costs etc. are kept down significantly and for the most part that is passed on to the customer.

I'll accept that might not be seen as a positive by everyone though.

Of course but , frankly , NZ has something for everyone ( except you, apparently ! )

Maj, I don't Bungee jump because I like the contents of my stomach to remain in place.  Skydiving is pointless because the plane is going to land anyway so why jump out. Hiking on the glacier sounds a bit slippy to me and if I hike on Milford Sound I will probably drown. Luging in Queenstown I'm unsure about as I've never caught one. Is it a sea fish or river fish ?  Swimming in Rotorua sounds ok but I generally bought my timber from the south island and not the north so seems a bit of a trip just to do a couple of laps.

Apart from that I stand by my original comment that the place (IMO) is as boring as shit
