I used to love them...before I had the internet I used to rely on text all the time. 390 on BBC, 470 (170 before that) on ITV. It used to be the quickest way of getting news. Every day before school I would check out those pages, plus 302. And when I got back from school it would be the first thing I did. Plus, during the cricket season it was how I used to follow the cricket...I'm getting all nostalgic now about my school + teletext days...but that's a thing of the past now. boom boom. Anyway- despite my fondness- the mistakes they used to make were hilarious. Constant cock-ups. They were about as reliable as teamtalk.com (do you remember the relegation season when every single day they would link us to some world quality star!?!). One fond memory was a simply typo...it read "but City won the game when the opposition keeper failed to get to a drilled #### from Murray"!!!! No wonder he didn't get near it!!
