Silvio Dante
The next international break is fast approaching, with England U21 playing two weeks today. Strikers in last squad: - Rashford (will prob be in seniors) - Watmore (Sunderland - no goals this year) - Akpom (Arsenal - no league apps this year) - Solanke (Chelsea - no league apps this year) Based on current form, and assuming Rashford goes to the seniors, be very surprised if Tammys not at least in the conversation... Hazelboy
He simply has to be in it. 9 goals before October, there isn't an English u21 striker, aside from Rashford, anywhere near his ability.
Red Army 75
I don't think he's ready . Needs to work on his finishing. He's pretty poor really

Admin phantom Posted September 22, 2016 Admin Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 On a side issue, wouldn't it be a great end to the season to get the U21's back at AG8 and see Tammy play Then he can announce he is staying for another season
North London Red
If he keeps scoring at the rate he has so far, is it beyond the realms of possibility for him to be called into the senior squad? One thing that might accelerate this is his eligibility for Nigeria. The English FA ensured Raheem Sterling (eligible for Jamaica) and Dele Alli (eligible for Nigeria) were both capped at senior level very early, to tie them down. Abraham has played for the England junior teams (and is very much on their radar as a future full international) and if Nigeria come calling, it might force England's hand. It would be a huge call to cap a player with only a couple of premier league appearances but if Kane, Welbeck and Carroll are injured, it might only take a further injury to one of Rashford, Sturridge or Rooney for it to become a possibility. Silvio Dante
Just bumping this. With the FA temporary reorganisation of management post Allardyce, see that Aidy Boothroyd is taking charge of the U21s while Southgate takes the seniors. With Boothroyd knowing Tammy from the U19s, would think the chances of a call up have just gone up - selfishly, hope not so he can have a break... He'll be fine, just like Michael Owen he'll burn out mid 20's and by then he'll be long gone
The Bard
The Under 20 world cup is next summer. I imagine that Tammy and Taylor are massively important for that. I simply do not get the demand to pick Rashford for games against Malta and Slovenia as opposed to being in the Under 21s. It's not as if England don't have either wide players or Strikers scoring goals. Would he actually start over Walcott, Sterling etc? If not then start him in the Under 21s. Tammy will be involved with one squad if he is fit, regardless.

Lanterne Rouge
Called up for the U21s. Second game is at the Bescot if anyone`s at a loose end that day. Hopefully it will be on TV - BT Sport normally have live coverage of the U21s.
DavidNoble
Well done Tammy! Richly deserved. I certainly hope the game is shown live on TV - that's finally an England team that I'm interested in and want to do well. All good news to report back to Chelsea to impress them. Hopefully they give us more of their youngsters in the future...
