Acton Red
Anyone seen him play? I assume he is about the same age as Tammy? On the basis of if he is good enough, he is old enough, is he knocking on the door of the first team squad or does his loan to WSM preclude that? brizzlelou
Thought I heard that he wasn't starting for wsm all that often. Could be wrong.

WRERE
He's scored 7 goals in 12 games for WSM so far. He's been a starter in most games but he hasn't been involved in the last 2 match squads.
Acton Red
Our Tammy Abraham replacement for 2016/17? Under 23's isnt a bad standard. Maybe he will go on loan in January to see if he can cut it in competitive football.

Phileas Fogg
Wouldn't be surprised to see him at Yeovil or Cheltenham in January. Seems the next logical step especially given the GJ/Darren Way connection and locality.
JoeAman08
Yup. A nice L2 loan would be good for him in January. A local team would be nice but any will do.
Acton Red
mabe time for De Girolamo to go on loan as well, as he is doing well too.

Plenty of local teams struggling at the moment - they're likely to be looking for a decent young striker who's been scoring in Championship U23's games. Hopefully. I was thinking Newport myself. They're in for a fight to stay up and it would be tough for him. I think a loan should be tough and hard work. Dastardly and Muttley
He was dreadful when I saw him for a poor WSM team at Maidenhead. A spell in League 2 is a must before anyone gets any ideas about him seeing game time with us. He looked better than Garita did at Wycombe though... Robin1988
From mates who've seen him for the Under-23s and Weston, I would be surprised to see him make it at City but certainly potential to have a career in the FL.

His first header from a corner forced a brilliant save from their keeper, second one gave the keeper no chance.
Lanterne Rouge
Exeter might be a good shout, they could do with someone who knows where the back of the net is at the moment and at least we know he`d be treated well down there. With Garita I think they have a solid 4 strikers though. I don't think being in a relegation battle would hinder development. Maybe not ideal but surely game time is more important for such a young player.

Isnt the point that competitive football is the crucible of telling whether a young player really has what it takes, but that WSM is a league or to low to be an adequate test? REDOXO
LJ clearly likes De Girolamo and has already said he is close to the first team. McCoulsky is scoring goals at U23 so you have got to think he is developing. My mate is a Maidenhead season ticket holder (yep they have those) and WSM were pretty well beaten according to him. Fact is playing in a struggling side and scoring goals is all you can ask of any player. If the above comment about 7 in 12 is accurate (and I have no reason to dispute it without looking t up) that's a decent return and the fact he is playing for our U23s is telling in of itself. We all know at some point Tammy will need a rest or be suspended or whatever (no jinxing) and competition for the striker role is going to be fierce. Wilbo the two mentioned Lemonheigh-Evans (sorry if I spelled that wrong) plus Tomlin and Patterson. I understand some will think that's not enough experienced firepower if the messiah is out, but even Jimmy Greaves had a debut!

mozo
Hopefully he can do a Lita and make that breakthrough from scoring in the reserves to scoring in the seniors. Not many others have managed that over the years...
