Are we getting the fitness regimes right ?

Genuine question . Are several of our lads spending too much time pumping iron ? Wilbs looks more like a weightlifter every game . Korey also looks to have bulked up and Joe B looks a stone heavier than he did 12 months ago . We looked slower and far less mobile than Brighton today and fair enough they are a very good side but have a few of our lads bulked up a little too much ?

Thing is a lot of fans then moan when we're weak and get pushed off the ball, can't compete with the opposition physically etc. The players will be on training programmes based on getting the best out of them designed to how we want to play. Wilbs being used as an example, he's a target man upfront, I'd rather he was stronger.

No, we've generally performed well in the second half of games which indicates that the fitness is working.

If the implication is that the players have 'bulked up' significantly since LJ has come in then that's also probably wrong. They are essentially endurance athletes, it would be really difficult for them to add a noticeable amount of muscle mass that alters their agility in 9 months or so.
