Away Fans in the Prem

Super

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, not totally for this as Stadia will have been built and designed with designated 'away areas' with decent segregation etc. However Newcastle for example take the pi$$. This should be done on a case by case basis as there are only 20 clubs and most of them already do it. The away fans should be deemed to have a 'reasonable' view.

More than misleading story when you look into it - the story says they want fans to be sat in lower tiers which they describe as Pitch side

All but TWO grounds have this in place already !!

ARSENAL  - Pitch side

BOURNEMOUTH  - Pitch side

BURNLEY - Pitch side

CHELSEA  - Pitch side

CRYSTAL PALACE   - Pitch side

EVERTON  - Pitch side

HULL  - Pitch side

LEICESTER  - Pitch side

LIVERPOOL  - Pitch side

MAN CITY  - Pitch side

MAN UTD - UPPER TIER

MIDDLESBROUGH  - Pitch side

SOUTHAMPTON  - Pitch side

STOKE  - Pitch side

SUNDERLAND - UPPER TIER

SWANSEA  - Pitch side

TOTTENHAM  - Pitch side

WATFORD  - Pitch side

WEST BROM  - Pitch side

WEST HAM - Pitch side

Man utd designate away fans in the corner of the lower tier for league matches. For cup matches they designate them in the upper tier

"When an away goal is scored, you want that atmosphere and interaction between the two sets of fans."

Suprised by these comments to be fair, i thought that the establishment and the powers that be were looking for every angle to stop anysort of 'interaction' or aggression between sets of fans to be honest.

Not that im complaining, think it will be good. Will be interesting to see how Newcastle in particular (if they go up) work things as there away section has been set in stone for years.
