As I guess I'm not the only one who didn't have a clue what compartment syndrome was ... !!!

Compartment syndrome is a painful and potentially serious condition caused by bleeding or swelling within an enclosed bundle of muscles – known as a muscle "compartment".

Each group of muscles in the arms and legs, together with nearby blood vessels and nerves, is contained in a space surrounded by tissue called fascia.

Compartment syndrome occurs when the pressure within a compartment increases, restricting the blood flow to the area and potentially damaging the muscles and nearby nerves.

It usually occurs in the legs, feet, arms or hands, but can occur wherever there is an enclosed compartment inside the body.

Cheers Tommie - might explain the story of his extra large socks ! Where did you pick the info up from ?

Compartment Syndrome is an extinct illness in the Twenty-First Century.

It was suffered by railway travellers many years ago especially on local branch lines and the occasional holiday excursion train because the carriages usually were non-corridor. Thus the compartment that one was sat in, did not have access to a toilet  (piss out of the window while not in a station) or refreshment facilities, unless one had a hip flask.

Do premier league players suffer from 1st class compartment syndrome, championship players 2nd class compartment syndrome and league 1 & 2 players 3rd class compartment syndrome?

Third class became second class in 1956 and second class became standard class in 1987. Similarly the Football League first division became the Premier League which meant the second division became the first division, the third division became the second division and the forth division the third division. When the firsts became the Championship, the rest obviously went up one. Of course, at some point the divisions became leagues one and two,  and the Football League became the English Football League. What this means, of course, is if this never ending promotion by just remaining the same continues, even Bristol Rovers will eventually become a second rate team

You've obviously not travelled on Arriva Trains Wales recently.

Wow, that looks like a pretty bad injury Aden's got there!

How does he manage to play with the bottom part of his leg like that?  Or do the special socks hold it in place?

Hard as nails our Flinty!  Take more than a Detached Compartmentalised Lower Leg to stop him playing!!!

It looks like all that was left of an opposition player after being tackled by Gerry Gow.
