Back up plan for a striker

Obviously we are actively scouring the market for a new striker to come in during January, hopefully to be signed on a permanent basis. It may well be that we have to bide our time until the Summer for the ideal man and perhaps bring in a loan until the end of the season. Who would be a good signing in that scenario ?

Daryl Murphy

David Nugent

Arouna Kone

Lewis Grabban

Would Murphy be allowed to play for 3 clubs in a season?

Nugent - decent striker, intelligent movement, can hold ball up too.

Kone - lively on his day, wages????

Grabban - thought he would've been a good buy in the summer window, heard a few things non-DNA about him though.

Personally, think we will be looking abroad.

Having never rated him, But after the last game I think mcgoldrick of Ipswich would be a shrewd signing and realistic. Had good work rate and presence which is exactly what's needed to replace Wilbraham.

Agree about McGoldrick Spud

Dexter Blackstock is another that always slides under the radar but always looks mobile , lively , decent in air , and gets a few goals at this level ( about 1 in 4 at this level)

Biggest downside is his injury history
