Born Lucky

Born lucky, not like those poor buggers in Syria , Yemen etc whose lives appear to be of little consequence to the watching world .

After yet another unlucky defeat by the first team to Brentford , this morning I was n't in the best of moods but whilst shaving I started to listen to a reporter talking live about the situation in Syria and a pause followed by a sobbing journalist, struggling to finish her report cut me to the core.I was really touched and confess that my eyes welled up.

This was a real human being with real emotions who , whilst wholly professional , was overcome with the tragedy of the war .

Being born in England , lucky barstard I am .
