Midlands Robin Posted December 18, 2016 Report Share Posted December 18, 2016 Talking to a Blues season ticket holder at work on Friday, the word on the streets up here is that Rowett had been applying for every vacancy this side of Nagasaki and that the owners became fed up with a manager who was clearly not displaying much in the way of loyalty. Apparently Rowett had applied for the Reading and Wolves jobs among others. They reckon he was going to be sacked two weeks ago but the club wanted to get a replacement signed on and ready to go as soon as possible. Obviously I've no idea how much truth there is in that but no matter how bonkers some foreign owners are, they don't sack managers who are seemingly doing well without reason.
