Slack Bladder
Thought O'Neil's were really awful, couldn't beat the 1st defender and they never looked dangerous. And while I'm at it, what is it with all these quick free kicks? We get a free kick in a decent position and instead of waiting for the big guys to come up from the back, it's a little tap 5 yards to the side and then played back to the defence. Just get the bloody ball in the box man!
Red-Robbo
My thoughts too, SB. In Tomlin we have one of the best kickers of a dead ball in the business. Tommo for corners, penalties and free kicks in the danger zone, please. He didn't have his best game today, but he can still be sublime at times. Anyone note the time he bent the ball around their defender to find Bryan
beaverface
What I'd like to know is who comes up with the various corner routines? When Cotterill was here, Flint was a threat virtually every single corner, and over the last few months he doesn't seem to get a sniff anymore. Did Pemberton work on the corners under SC and has now stopped under LJ? I'd be intrigued to know.
robin_unreliant
I agree GON's set pieces are poor. I thought this was one of Freeman's main strengths in the promotion season. Not sure what changes when you go up a league. Surely a delivery into the right area is exactly the same? He doesn't seem to have the same success now but is still better than O'Neill.
