Bristol Rob
Have an impact on the January transfer window? I assume it's easier to attract players when you are doing well and more expensive when you aren't.
Phileas Fogg
Guess it depends who we are looking at. If we are after players with calibre and options such as Hogan or Wells it might sway their decision as we'd no doubt have heavy competition. If we're looking at players from abroad or more young players I think it would be less of an issue.
BRISTOL86
Can't see it being an issue to be honest. Only fans write a club off based on the last 10 games! The huge fee received for Kodjia will be a lot more detrimental on prices for us.
GrahamC
Only in as much as it might have increased the number we are after. My guess was that we probably would have only brought in one had our decent run continued. 2 or even 3 seem more likely now.
Ska Junkie
Would I be being naive to think deals are already lined up? I assume that's how things are done, organising some deals with clubs before the window opens?
1960maaan
I think it could impact in a couple of ways. We're still in the top ten and doing OK, better prospect for an ambitious player and SL may be happier to release extra funds. You only have to look at Bradley Dack a while ago. We were struggling and they looked good to go up, he stays. We are in a shocking run of form and from the outside could be considered to be in a relegation fight, while some may not worry others will come only if the money is tempting. That in a nutshell is also the January window, you will pay over the odds for form players both ways. I said at the start of the season , I'd be happy if we get within touching distance of the playoff's. Don't care if we aren't real contenders, just an outside chance to keep us interested and away from the relegation zone. This is still not beyond us, I think a couple of signings may do it maybe another experienced head. I have a feeling most of any players coming in will be future prospects but, our situation also demands we look at real first team players who are definite starters. BarmyArmy
Absolutely. What I really hope doesn't happen is that we get so desperate we start spending our money on anyone and everyone. I would rather wait for the Summer in the hope that we won't go down than sign players that don't fit the bill.
BobBobSuperBob
Still think our main January business will be loans so less of a relevance ( I hope )
