Ashtonboy
According to the Daily Mirror today, our fans have the most expensive travel costs over the xmas period. Calculated at £185.00 for the Wolves and Ipswich trips. No idea how they worked that out.

View from the Dolman
It's based on research by Virgin Media/The FSF and includes match ticket costs. "At club level, Bristol City supporters face the highest costs of all supporters over the festive period, as the research shows they will pay on average £185 to get behind the Robins at Wolverhampton Wanderers and then Ipswich Town. As well as the ticket costs, fans could spend more than £100 on return travel, clocking up more than 630 miles in the process." http://www.virginmedia.com/corporate/media-centre/press-releases/cost-of-christmas-football-revealed-by-virgin-media.html The link also gives details of how they've calculated travel costings. And you wouldn't travel alone so you can at least half those expenses. The difference between train fares to both games, and one of four sharing in a car is huge. Survey should have been longest distances travelled to be meaningful.
