frenchred
All the more amazing that managers "plan and recruit for the future" as 9 out of10 times they won't be around. Here's a novel idea, create a team for now and share the success with us!

Not everybody can win and if all clubs spent big some would face bankruptcy. Prudence, wise long term investment and spending big where necessary is a proven formula for success. It's all about balance, some youth development, an eye on potential profit, but it is very necessary to have the right blend of players for the 'now'. Maybe this is something many managers fail to deal with, what ever it is looking down that list and seeing that 4 years in a job puts a manager in the longest serving bracket, with only 2 into double figures, means that either that are nearly all not up to scratch and those who win titles get lucky or that the owners and CEO's are looking for someone that is as rare as rocking horse shit.
