mozo
Could three at the back be LJ's last/next throw of the dice? I'm not really a fan of it because it is a system that no defender is trained as a youngster to play. However, judging by potential signings our squad might soon be made for it. It means two up top; Tammy and target man. Plus potentially Tomlin in behind. Little and Bryan are wing-back types. Flint with one either side of him, plus two work-horses in front in the defence. The Cotterill reign saw other clubs work out how to expose our wing-backs. Not sure how LJ would deal with that.
nickolas
I quoted 352 some time ago in order to get two up top and Tomlin in the same team. I reckon its the only formation weve got to suit who weve got ( assuming newbies come in ).
ciderbeans
Moore would have suited a 3-5-2 perfectly as a ball playing cb with maggs either side of Flint but LJ just won't give him a chance. i would also suggest with the signing of this German for midfield, one of either O'Neil, pack, Reid, smith or brownhill will be gone this window. Maybe even two of them. My bet would be O'Neil and pack. by playing 3-5-2, that also removes the need for wingers so I'm not sure what that would mean for o'dowda and Patterson but Patterson already seems to be being blocked out by LJ
