RedM
Concorde has just taken off from Heathrow on her last ever flight. A sad day, it should never have come to this. I think she is flying into Filton around 1.00, after flying over W-S-M and the suspension bridge. We have just has a huge hailstorm here and the ground is all white, it looks like it has snowed! Hopefully the sun will shine on her as she lands for the final time. :sport18:
KirstyF
Yes, a very sad day, especially for my mum as she helped design parts of it. Luckily she managed to get tickets to go and see it land though.
RedM
I just videoed (sp?) it from my window. It flew over Bristol several times and the sun shone! She looked beautiful against the stormy skys. i've seen her land at Filton a couple of times before and been as close as you can get during take off (I had special permission to get close , a charity thing) really noisey! I guess I will be taking the kids to see her in the museum now. It just seems such a shame to s#### something that you have just seen flying so perfectly. :sport18:
