For #BristolCity the problem isn't just 8 straight league defeats.

That's 11 LOSSES in 12 league games.
7 pts since reverse fixture v Forest.

@andrew_cryer - Undoubtedly the worst manager in Bristol City's history!

Johnson out

Steve Coppell Johnson saved us from relegation. Coppell went after two league games in charge so it has to be him. Better than O'Driscall aswell very shocking manager.

2 games and expensive useless signings, Coppell definitely is ahead by a stretch for worst manager and agree about O'Driscoll as well.

I never understand how, as a football club, we are able to perpetually sink to new lows. It is truly mind-boggling.

It is an unfortunate fact that we have a very generous owner who does not have the first clue in how to spend the considerable money he allocates to the football club!!! The appointment of Johnson in terms of the way it was done and then the laughable decision to give him a contract extension says everything about the way our football club has been run from the day SL walked into the building. He found us in the mid reaches of League 1 and, if we aren't careful, fast forward 12 months and see where we are.......then work out the money he has spent getting there and tell me we have a well run club.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It's either brilliant or bad.

I would take mid table obscurity with the option of troubling the play offs.

With the amount of money and resources at LJ disposal is this not a reasonable expectation.

It seems we are desperate to join in a relagation battle.

Get Rowett in before someone else does.

When Rowett took over at Birmingham they had just lost 8-0 at home to Bournemouth. The playing side of that club was in free fall and he turned it around.

The City job prefect for him

This is the most worrying stat of all. 7 points in 16 games. In the last 11 away games we've picked up 2 points. We've lost 8 on the spin away as well.

Whatever way you look at the stats, they're abysmal to the point of pathetic.

How on earth is he still in a job?

Because he is just a  puppet forSL and MA. He shouldn't have had the job in the first place !

You are right. It is eight straight losses against

Forest

Cardiff

Reading

Ipswich

Wolves

Preston

Brentford

Huddersfield

You have to say that is not a list of in form teams. Huddersfield, arguably Reading, but the rest are bog standard fare. Lost the lot. I thought this looked at the time as a good run of games for us!

Frankly, pick a well drilled hard working Div 1 side playing that lot,, and I would expect them to pick up something. It is shocking, and the team is starting to play like a Div 2 side away in the the cup to a Championship side - keep it tight for as long as we can, and who knows, we might nick one.

The teams we play are about to get harder. Of all the relegations I have endured, this will be the most frustrating and avoidable.

It's genuinely an interesting debate as to what sounds worse.

8 straight losses?

7 points from 16 games?

2 wins from 16 games?

13 losses from 16 games?

10 losses from 14 away games this season?

Personally I'd say that 7 points from 16 games is the most damning, but 8 straight losses is pretty ******* specialist.

When was it ever brilliant supporting this club?! I wasn't alive in the 70s. Seems our greatest achievements during my 30-odd years are winning the third tier and reaching a Championship play off final that we then lost. A city the size of Bristol with the potential to attract 45,000 fans on the big occasion.

Meanwhile the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth and Blackpool have played Premier League football, Swansea have won the League Cup and Wigan have won the FA Cup.

I don't think it's ever been brilliant really.

How he is still in a job is quite incredible.   No other manager other than Wenger would survive this. Stunning. I do wonder what the love in is with our club and that family. To be honest we would be better off with this dad if we have to have a Johnson in charge!! I could understand the bad run if his hands were tied and he had no money to spend but his spending is in the top 6 in this division!!!

No manager in the world will ever be in a job after the run we are currently on.. I really do want to know what LJ is doing to or for SL for SL to stick with him this long. I get the whole build for the future/Rome wasn't built in a day nonsense but we are close to being back to square one... League 1

I'll go with 13 defeats from 16 games I think. That is an amazing statistic.

We are sleepwalking to relegation unless we change things now. How we haven't changed things already I'll never, ever know.
