Replace is a bad word, however he'd still do a job IMHO. Many on here dismissed Lambert as a fat gas tit with no great talent, he however went on to far greater things than any of our players, maybe he could do the same? I'd leave it to the experts to see if he's "worthy" (not that anyone on this forum, or our head coach is) as he's sure to come to AG and get a hatful. Maybe you are remembering the brace he got against us for them? I remember a slow, unfit player on huge wages who often went through the motions and had a pitiful scoring record. For his goal record someone would have took that up if it was true. I don't think DC would come out and say we don't have to sell Matty if it happened to be that he could be took away from us for a petty 300k.
