Freeman situation...doesn't add up

Ok if you insist but let me say one last thing.

A person who drives an Ambulance, Fire Engine or Police car breaks his leg so he cannot work. However, Luke Freeman does the same but gets preferential treatment because he kicks a ball for a living. Do you understand the point here ? What you earn and what you do makes no difference unless you can afford specialist private treatment.

If I can no longer drive my Ambulance, Fire Engine or Police car I can go stacking shelves in Tesco.  Luke Freeman can do the same as others on here have pointed out.

Just now he is taking the piss with a capital P

I can resist anything but temptation :)

Accept the parallel you draw but respectfully disagree and say 'yes, absolutely'.

To take a sportsman analogy there's a difference between fitness and match fitness. For a sportsman the key is to get them to match fitness - ask Steve Brooker.. there's a reason physicians carve a particular niche for sportsmen; it is frankly a different recovery.

Stacking shelves he can do. I don't disagree. I think it quite pious of us though. We have 6 figures on the table to buy up his deal, he wants to go, we clearly are eyeing up a replacement in this Barnsley lad but the only reason the Dominos aren't falling is because we feel we are due more for a lad who 6 months ago we were posturing with releasing and didn't offer job security to or player security for ourselves.

Once the window is closed I would not defend him for any shenanigans whatsoever.

In my opinion, however,  today's LF asking not to play was a PR stunt. It is begging QPR to come back with a new offer, it's telling Barnsley we are still keen on your lad.

Remember JK asked not to play v Villa before we bled £14m for him....

I think we nearly agree :)

Today, for me, he's not taking the piss... next week he is.

Today his actions could still have the end result of a fee, next week it can't. Today he could still get the move, next week he can't. He had his 'sicky' today, take one v Sheffield Weds and he's taking the piss.

It's the damn mid-season window.

Started a new thread as this is a different take on freeman's situation

Some thing doesn't add up with luke

-he always puts his all in and despite me not being his biggest fan I'd never accuse him of not trying his best. He's not a JET

-out of contract in summer ...QPR bid announced

-plays one more game (I think) ...LJ says he won't be playing again til he signs a new deal but stresses it is his (LJs) decision and lukes attitude has been fine

-LJ now says he asked luke to play today but he said no ?

Why would we want to play him today if we are waiting for him to sign a new deal.

Why would we want him to play today if he is leaving

If LJ is telling the truth I'm very dissapointed in luke as feel the relationship between him and fans has been good.

Perhaps johnson was trying to protect him by saying 'it's my call not to pick him' in the hope of buttering him up for a new deal when in fact luke was causing trouble ?

Alongside all this luke has been in LJs team most of the season... it's hardly a secret he is out of contract

Anyone the wiser ?

The answer. Our football Club is an utter shambles. From top to the tea lady.

We deserve so much better - especially the tea lady.
