Red Grovesy
So we now have 19 Championship games to play. For me there are two targets for the rest of the season. (1) Championship survival (2) Equalling or bettering last seasons points tally (52 points). The number of points required for Championship survival is an unknown. Last season Charlton were relegated with 40 points, Rotherham survived with 49. We currently have 27. Lets assume we need 46 this season. That means we are looking for another 19 from 19 games. Six wins and a draw? Realistically, Where are those six wins coming from (as was mentioned in another thread - one every three games)? Remaining 19 fixtures below:- Bristol City v Sheffield Wednesday Tue 31 Jan Unlikely Bristol City v Rotherham United Sat 4 Feb Possibly (1) Derby County v Bristol City Sat 11 Feb Unlikely Leeds United v Bristol City Tue 14 Feb Unlikely Bristol City v Fulham TBC ?? Newcastle United v Bristol City Sat 25 Feb Unlikely Aston Villa v Bristol City Tue 28 Feb Unlikely Bristol City v Burton Albion Sat 4 Mar Possibly (2) Bristol City v Norwich City Tue 7 Mar Unlikely Wigan Athletic v Bristol City Sat 11 Mar Possibly (3) Bristol City v Huddersfield Town Fri 17 Mar Unlikely Brentford v Bristol City Sat 1 Apr ?? Preston North End v Bristol City Tue 4 Apr ?? Bristol City v Wolverhampton Wanderers Sat 8 Apr ?? Bristol City v Queens Park Rangers Fri 14 Apr ?? Blackburn Rovers v Bristol City Mon 17 Apr Possibly (4) Bristol City v Barnsley Sat 22 Apr Unlikely Brighton & Hove Albion v Bristol City Sat 29 Apr Unlikely Bristol City v Birmingham City Sun 7 May Unlikely We need at least three wins in the next 10 games
Red Army 75
There's only 1 target and that is staying up . But how possibly and unlikely that maybe. I just can't see it .
Fiale
Think I may have been to kind to Rotherham... but always feel sorry for the teams so adrift at the bottom, so might have given them a few benefit of the doubts
Jerseybean
My thoughts: Our games against those currently in the bottom five will be critical, so Rotheram and Burton at AG, Wigan and Blackburn away Someone else just may embark on a shocking run (QPR or Forest would not be a surprise) and get dragged into the mix Although it's not come to an end - yet - we have had our bad run! By the time me we play B&HA they may be promoted and put out a weakened team Oh and finally, we are Bristol City so anything can happen, even three points away at Newcastle or Brighton Really I am trying to be realistic here and not to be clutching at straws. We all love it really We only really love it if we escape the trap door. Win against Coventry under MacInnes was a fantastic relief. Going down without even a whimper under SOD was beyond depressing!!
Corsham Ed
Looking at the remaining fixtures and on current form, I can only see us picking up around 20 points giving us 47 points. As Buster says, it's going to be bumpy. Hold on tight!

Whilst Championship survival is our number one priority, 47 points would mean we have spent millions of pounds and ended up with five points less than last season. Progress? I, of course, would take 47 if it meant another season of Championship football. I'm strapping myself in for that bumpy ride.

I hope and pray we get more than 20 points and stay in the Championship. At the moment my glass is half empty, and i only see it ending badly.
