winterbournered
Wondering if any plumbing/gas experts can help me please? Problem, Have a Vaillant Ecotec 837 plus combi boiler and Vaillant VRT 350f Thermostat. The thermostat started playing up and a engineer from Vaillant came out and decided to replace it, which was great. Only problem being since then no hot water. So the boiler is firing up and says it's reaching the desired temp when tap is turned on but water is freezing cold. The pipe feed into boiler goes hot also. I've looked at all valves and they're all open! Heating is working fine just no hot water! Anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance Oh I will be calling Vaillant in the morning but would be handy to have some hot water for the morning.
northsomersetred
Sounds like the diverter valve is faulty or the plate hx is blocked. Probably not a lot you can do until mr engineer rocks up tomorrow. Is your boiler under warranty?

It's like a bad relationship - and YOU need to end it. tfj

If you want a new boiler Atag, Intergas or Veissmann Where do you get anyone to fit one of those in Somerset?? We have only just come to terms with Brie and now you expect someone to know what a Veissmann is?? One step at a time: one step. tfj P.S. Source of my advice was Which? Antman
we had a veissmann installed last year. much better than our previous boiler which was an ariston - only 6 years old and utterly shite. problem after problem. changing it was the best decision. bloke in Weston, gasman John (?) did it. Veissmann will tell you who their best fitters are.

A bit of advice for you or anyone, steer well clear of a boiler with an aluminium heat exchanger. Which, i would imagine do not deal with boilers on a daily basis like i do.
