bs3
Would of be interesting to see how Cotts would have got on with this squad of players.

Cotts had no where near the amount of cash LJ has had. Spot on post. FWIW, Cotts got the boot for 3 reasons. 1, he had no support from the board. Not much cash to buy new players. 2, yep, he was stubborn but that links back to not being supported. He had to work with what was given. So essentially fewk all. 3, he lost composure and had a pop at people. Once again, linked back to reason no. 1. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Debatable post really . The money was there.. he didn't spend it. He refused to use certain options he had available in terms of playing staff and were you watching the last 3 or 4 months? We were more dreadful than we are now, from the Fulham game onwards and Cotterill did zip to rectify it. Goals dried up, conceding at an alarming rate but he seemed to think we were unlucky every game... completely lost it. So the post is hardly spot on due to the amount of conjecture spouted here about the board and Cotterills fall out
ashton_fan
Cotts problem was the lack of signings in the transfer window, we didn't have enough wing-backs to make a success of the formation he was playing. I suppose if he'd been given the January transfer window things might have improved.
