Beatnik
Is it acceptable for 'young and enthusiastic' or 'young and promising' to be the standard of coaching staff at a Championship club? Surely 'experienced and proven' should be a prerequisite for any club in this league. This is a very high level league. If I were to employ a sea captain or a pilot, or a surgeon, 'enthusiastic' would not be considered a reliable level of competence. Isn't it time that this club started raising its expectations beyond mediocre. From the evidence before us Bristol City is not a club that cannot afford to have ambition, yet we are expected to be excited at the prospect of a club with no apparent confidence in being any better than average. The current squad includes some very desirable players, but are being managed by a clueless novice who is becoming less 'enthusiastic' and much less 'promising' every week.
