They knew they did not deserve the applause at Preston. Perhaps the guilt will galvanise them sufficiently to make a proper effort tomorrow. In the absence of a motivational head coach, we'll take any boost we can get in the desperate state we find ourselves in. If they won't do it for the coach, do it for the support.
