New kit?

It's all very quiet about the kits, bound to be home and away this year, but I think we've got more important things to worry about.

My guess. Home kit hopefully going back to red shirts white shorts and will be revealed at the last home game, assuming the sponsor stays the same so the players will wear it then

Away, hmmm. Perhaps recreate the feelgood of the purple and lime with the emphasis being on either purple or lime and the trim detail provided by other. Eg all purple and a brighter Limey trim or the other way round. I'm guessing purple to be the main.

Dunno, but whatever it is at least half of us will hate it!

You've gone down in my estimation Dolly. Working at the stadium and there are important things that you know nothing about? Would you like me to send my wife along as nothing ever escapes her!

I don't think Dolly does work at the stadium as such.

I really hope we go back to red/white/red next season. I've not particularly liked this season's kit. Red shorts at home doesn't look right.

For the away kit purple and lime would be fine with me. I didn't used to like it when we originally wore it in the 90s, but it has grown on me - good memories from that double winning season.

I don't work at the stadium sorry, never have. Although it does often seem like I spend half my life there on a voluntary basis.

Hope it's made by a decent maker  not like the current kit .

Sorry, have to disagree. I quite like the fact we use an in-house kit producer. I'd much rather that than another 'template' kit from a big sports firm.

Loved the addidas kit from a while back. No cheaper being made by us . It's a personal thing I suppose

Given the huge success of the purple and lime kit when we reintroduced it, I think they would be silly not to bring it back. It's something unique and it has genuine meaning to us. The best City shirt that I own is the Thorn Security purple and lime one, sold to me by a very kind member of this forum. White or black shirts are just forgettable, but in 14/15 I wouldn't be surprised if the away kit had outsold the home kits! We've made away shirts of different colours for those that don't like purple and lime, and now it is time to bring it back.

It's also made with new technology...

Material turns from 'red to white' within last 10 mins..

with this new technology does it wave as well ?

How about that for a 'pitch' !!!!

Such an iconic City away kit. I also quite like the red/black combo for away games we had in the 70s against teams who wore white shorts.

I've already mentioned that I don't like red shorts in the home kit, but I also hope we don't return to white socks like we've had a few times. Even worse - red/red/white like the kit when Pulis was manager.

Dolly, when it's available could you possibly get me as many pictures of it as you're willing to take so that I can make it for Pro Evolution Soccer?

Bring back the pointy collars. Those things could kill and maim an opposition centre back.

Stuff health and safety tree hugging pif pof. We want blood and those things must be worth 8 or 9 points a season.

Slight change of sport, but the Bristol Flyers Basketball team started the season in a Bristol Sport manufactured kit but now the new one they're wearing is made by Kappa ?

Maybe BS have signed a deal with kappa and all teams wear that brand next season? Seems odd for one team to have a different supplier. I'd be happy with kappa. They make some nice kits and not too many teams have them so wouldn't be too much of a template as such.

Every team in the BBL has to wear kappa. Last year it was Spalding. Not sure the team have actually worn the Bristol sport uniforms in the league games but did in preseason and the replica jerseys you can buy are made by bristol sport rather than kappa.

They did wear it in a number of games but with red stickers covering the Bristol Sport logo...

Surely since Lansdown is going to merge the Bristol clubs it will be blue and red.

Think back, (if you're old enough :P) to the 1894-95 season. Red shirts, but blue shorts & socks;  http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_City/Bristol_City.htm

Just think of the money the club shop will make when we throw away everything red & white to replace it with red & blue items.

There is picture of the city early years with a white collar top, long sleeves rolled up, white shorts and probably red socks by the look of it. It could make a come back

Don't overlook the away kit this season was chosen to work for football and rugby teams.

If that follows next season, blue or white can't be prominent colours.

Purple or lime....neither clash with either team's home kit....just putting it out there  for you Bristol Sport....

Oh I don't mean you have early access, just I know you'll be down the gate, wondered if you could take some pics of the finer details. I'm not sure I'll be down the gate any time soon, the Mrs is having surgery at some point this year and it'll be a long recovery.
