I agree.  But also, we are really not alone in that predicament.

Newcastle, Forest, Leeds, Reading and QPR have all been reliant on one or two goalscorers.  There's not many teams that truly have a group of four or five regular contributors.  It's also interesting that it doesn't seem to have much correlation with final table position.  those five teams plus ourselves cover the whole breadth of the league, from champions down to relegation contenders.

Three teams with goals in depth are Barnsley, Brentford and Brighton.  Again, no real consistency in their final positions.
