harry may
I am in the process of writing my Father of the Bride speech for my youngest daughter. And I am trying to remember the date of the first match I took her to. It was against Walsall at Home. We won 2-1 . I think it was about 97 or 98. I think our winner was scored by McCarthy ? I am fairly certain it was a promotion season. Any help would be much appreciated.

MichaelRobartes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997–98_Bristol_City_F.C._season According to wikipedia it was our last home game of the promotion season. Owers and Tins scored. That was my first full season. I vividly remember us smashing Grimsby at home then not being able to get a ticket in the Atyeo and watching a bore 0-0 draw from the Wedlock against Northampton in the next home match. I could never even remember who said 0-0 was against until I looked it up just now.
stephenkibby.
Was that the promotion season under Ward? If so pretty sure we were 1/0 down at h/t. Then scored two goals in a few minutes to win 2/1. Walsall were managed by the ex gas Ray Graydon, and I think they got promoted the following season.
