Man City v Everton

Watching Man City v Everton - all MC then Rooney scores totally against the run of play. So, I was in St Helier earlier today and saw a sign in a bookies: £10 stake Everton to win 2-1 and Rooney to score the first goal collect £1,360.

To add to the fun MC are down to 10 men. With 45 minutes to go I'm now wishing I'd popped in to the bookies and taken that bet!

I doubt you'd get the same odds, after knowing that Rooney would score first..!

Sure you are right BBS3; I was just wishing I'd stuck the bet on when I saw it this morning, would have made the second half more interesting.

Soo much diving from Man City ****** embarrassing

Well Man City have learnt 2 things from peps time at Barcelona. Chucking yourself on the floor. And surrounding the ref to get a decision.

1-1

Calvert lewin has been the worst.

Absolutely unbelievable sending off. Takes the ball, and gets sent off. Actually got wound up by that decision! How can the referees be so bad?!

Unreal.

Whether or not he takes the ball has no bearing on it being a foul or a booking.  It was the correct decision, he hit the player with his right leg before he hit the ball and his left leg after, the speed he was moving at there was a clear risk of injury so it was excessive force and a really stupid thing to do in the middle of the park under no pressure having been booked already.  Aguero should be sanctioned for exaggerating too.

Nah, can't agree. From the angle I saw, he slides in, gets the ball, and aguero goes down like he's been shot. Contact is absolutely minimal, if at all. But he definitely takes the ball first, clearly.

He definitely touches Aguero before he takes the ball, only slightly but it's clear on the replay.  It doesn't matter though.  He doesn't even have to touch the player for it to be a bookable foul.  Them's the rules.

Aguero's one of the worst cheats in the league, rarely gets called out for it either. Spent most of the game throwing himself to the floor.

I think you'll find that makes him the best cheat.

Great, slow motion replays. Shaun Taylor would be sent off 5 times a season for competing for the ball.

Yeah I know the rules have changed, but who would deny a 50/50 challenge with a city player coming away with the ball would get you off your seat?

Everton looked like a side who needs to pay Bristol City about £5 for a Bobby Reid in it to me.
