alexukhc Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Do excuse my ignorance, or stupidity!! when he signed for us, did he sign a professional deal? I know he was signed for the development team but not all of them have pro deals get my drift?
The Nest Egg Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I think once you turn 16 you sign a senior contract, although admittedly this is only based on me playing Football Manager
simon uk Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 This occured to me too... we poached him as we are a higher level academy. Can he in turn be poached from us by someone else or does he have a pro contract??
David Brent Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 He was 18 when he signed a deal. A 2.5 year deal with the option of a further year so presumably a professional contract.

MarcusX Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I'm almost certain that he's on a pro contract now, therefore couldn't be poached.
kiwicolin Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 On 31 January 2017, Hinds signed forChampionship club Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract, with the option of a one-year extension.

mozo Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Next question: was that long range screamer a fluke or does he naturally have a great strike on him? We haven't had a player that can really shoot for ages.

If he gets into space in that area, and there's no better option available then he will shoot.

Check out the highlights on the main site of the Plymouth game - 4th goal.
Negan Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 If he keeps going as he is I'd expect a new deal to be agreed by Christmas. Can't imagine he's on much!

Certainly showing promise & seems to be loving it being with/in the first team-keep it going,Fred!

Luton let him go at the time because the manager said he didn't feel he could impact the first team. Several months later and some feel he should be behind famara and bobby. Seems like he has made some improvement and even LJ has said he has developed quicker than anticipated. He could be another Marvin Brown but I understand they likened him to a Nicky Maynard type.

Hes scored as many in 3 games as matty taylor managed in 20 last season. Taylor is taking up a squad place that i dont think he is good enough for.

Plymouth maybe an option, we have a good understanding with them too.

Sometimes the future is now. He can sit on our bench, get minutes here and there, play u23 games etc. Matty Taylor can go to Charlton.

Wonder if he can take free kicks if he's got that sort of range.
