Today's shot in the dark;

I'm looking to join a local Sunday league team as my work pattern has now changed; but the important caveat is they have to train on Thursdays.

Gumtree & the like has brought me no joy so far so if you play for/ know a team that fits the bill, the floor is yours.

I'm a bit out of the loop regards local football  but I think you would struggle to find a Sunday side that actually have training sessions midweek.

There's a "sunday league" team that play up in Horfield who I can only believe train once a week.........worth a shot?.

In my day most Sunday players also played on Saturday so trained with their Saturday team's if they did train.

Find a team then find somewhere to train.

If I remember correctly, our training was done on the Saturday night.

In my day, the players for the team I played for on Sunday, limbered up for each match by staying out as late as possible on Staurday evening and arrived on Sunday as hung over as possible. Arriving sober was a sign of weakness

Yes, have been their throwing players in the shower before games to sober them up!

The strange thing is Danny it almost worked for you.   A lot of us enjoyed watching City  in those days.
