Port Said Red Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 There was the inconsistent bowler at Yorkshire , Peter Hartley who was known as Daisy. Because some days he does, some days he doesn't.

Erithacus Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Still like when we sold CH Julian Watts to Luton late season (before the windows were put in). They gave him a shirt with 40 on it and everyone called him Lightbulb.

Smudge is a usual nickname for anyone called Smith As for Molby, I'd suggest that Scotty's brother may be carrying a little bit of timber?

Fairly sure it was in the Bountyhunter or similar, but I recall some match report that indicated some City players had a catchy nickname for Jacki: think it was Martin Scott noted for shouting "tackle back you lazy Polish ****" at our erstwhile maverick.
Lanterne Rouge Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Not quite a nickname but I remember taking a particularly right-on work colleague to a night match after we`d been on a course in Bristol. Kevin Amankawah was playing and I shouted out something like `FFS Manky, track your man`. She went ******* mental at me thinking I`d called him monkey! Took me and the mates we were sat with ages to convince her otherwise!
Roger Red Hat Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 My all time favourite is the Man City fans used to refer to Musampa as Chris.
