Robin 101 Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Lots of talk that we were signing a lot of wide players who wouldnt get a game but it appears that Johnson has purposely invested in a number of wide players who can all contribute at this level. This is allowing us to maintain a very entertaining high tempo high press which has been key in disrupting the opposition and is great to watch. Whatever your opinion on Johnson as a manager tactically the recruitment is beginning to look like an excellent piece of management. Perhaps the fabled 3 transfer windows was truly a realistic timeframe for LJ to get the squad he wanted for this style of play maintained for more than a few games. Whether or not it is maintainable all season is another question but we're seeing some of the best football is recent years and I'm finding myself counting down to the next game once again. Coyr
