forbespm Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I,m thinking of using this for the first time tomorrow night but the Website says the car park shuts at 21 40.surely that's a mistake. Is it a good option for midweek matches?
Thornbury Red Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 yep its fine, open till 11pm I think? Ive used it for last season and this and had no issues.
Fodbarmyarmy Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Match day time table on OS says last bus from "The Robins" 23.25.....

Is it a good option for midweek matches? 21.45 is the normal closing time for the car park which serves the 902 Portway -City Centre p & r. It stays open later on the nights the football p & r operates. It's a good service but the queues are long after the game, unless you leave before the final whistle you won't get on the first bus, for the Derby game not everyone could even get on the second bus 20 minutes later.....so some folk had to wait 40 minutes. Really First should have at least 2 buses lined up at FT (like the A buses)
BerkeleyBAred Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Its a good feeling flying along the Portway past the two miles of queuing traffic on the way in.....but when you haven't got on the first two buses on the way back and its raining, and getting late - it somehow doesn't seem worth it. Also, if you are a car full of adults - its £4 return each person..... 2 Kids can travel free with each adult. Tried it a couple of time....prefer the queue!

City fan 1982 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I use it some times , is quite good , however if don't get on the first bus , I call it the dolman express ! Can be a wait. Should be two busses waiting really , have seen two busses for the bris park and ride but not portway.
